CRN – Cohort makes move into Ireland
September 3, 2010
UK distributor Cohort Technology is aiming to storm the Irish market after launching a Dublin operation.
Cohort already serves the Irish market from its Basingstoke headquarters but felt it was the right time to set up a local presence. The expansion comes three-and-a-half years after the firm was set up by EquIP founder Grahame Smee.
Smee, who is managing director of Cohort, said: “We have been successful in some partner recruitment in Ireland in the past but we feel that the time is right to show our commitment to this market with a local presence.
“We believe that we will be offering a new level of value add to this territory using our market-leading pre- and post-sales services, including a 24/7 TAC and onsite training.”
Smee said Cohort would focus its Irish efforts on specific vendors including PGP – which is now owned by Symantec – Stonesoft and MXI Security.
