Specialist distributor Cohort Technology has signed a value-added distribution agreement with unified vulnerability management vendor Rapid7 to help it grow market share. As a result of the partnership, Cohort will help the vendor boost its European footprint by recruiting channel partners to attract new SME customers.

Database management vendor Boomcomms and UK distributor Cohort are urging VARs to cash in on the untapped possibilities of SMS. Boomcomms produces the Boomerang suite of products, which enables firms to automate the sending and receiving of text messages.

Security vendor SonicWALL has appointed as a fifth UK distributor to help promote its non-firewall technologies. Andy Zollo, sales director for Northern Europe at SonicWALL, said the appointment reflects its recent move into non-firewall technologies such as remote access, email security and backup.
